CQ Home Assist Secure

Rockhampton Regional Council (CQ Home Assist Secure) receives funding from the State and Commonwealth governments. They deliver subsidised home maintenance and home modification services to eligible residents in the Rockhampton, Gladstone & Central Highlands regions, as well as the Banana and Livingstone Shires.

Each funding stream has different eligibility guidelines and minor differences in geographic coverage. Select one of the below tiles for further information about each program.

Home Assist Secure Program (HAS)

The Home Assist Secure (HAS) Program is funded by the Queensland Government’s Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works.

The aim of this program is to provide low-cost, targeted assistance for home maintenance, repairs, and modifications, helping eligible individuals to continue living independently in their own homes.

Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

The Commonwealth Home Support (CHSP) Program is funded by the Federal Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care.

The objective of the CHSP is to support older people who are having difficulties with daily living through the delivery of various subsidised services. The services that CQ Home is funded to provide are home maintenance and home modifications.
