Advance Rockhampton beefs up partnership with PBR Australia

Rockhampton Regional Council through their economic development arm, Advance Rockhampton has today announced a partnership with Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Australia to become the Official Presenting Rights Partner of Professional Bull Riders Australia Monster Energy Tour – Rockhampton Invitational.
The partnership will be beneficial to promote Rockhampton region’s venues, events and entertainment. PBR Australia is a globally recognised brand founded in 1992 with an audience of over 5.2 million fans Australia wide.
Rockhampton Region Deputy Mayor, Neil Fisher, said the partnership with PBR Australia will continue to promote Rockhampton as a destination with a diverse offering of events.
“This partnership gives Rockhampton Regional Council the opportunity to market our region to PBR’s communication channels, reaching an Australia wide audience and increasing exposure towards everything Rockhampton has to offer.”
“As the events capital of Central Queensland and our strong history with bull riding, it makes sense for Rockhampton Regional Council to support this renowned sporting event” said Deputy Mayor Fisher.
Executive Manager of Advance Rockhampton, Mr Greg Bowden, said events like PBR Australia’s Rockhampton Invitational generated excellent economic outcomes for the Rockhampton region.
“Rocky is already the home of Beef, Barra and Burnouts and now we add bull riding to our playbook. With the five PBR Rockhampton Invitational events on the calendar this year being broadcast live, it’s a fantastic way of putting Rocky on the radar across the globe.”
“We know that competitors and visitors come from across Australia to compete or enjoy the entertainment on offer with PBR. By supporting this event, Advance Rockhampton are creating more options for local entertainment and helping to boost tourist numbers and visitor spending in the region” said Mr Bowden.
