Is your business in the agriculture industry or are you involved in a community farming group?

Book a site now and showcase your products and services or share your group’s interests in our Region’s Small Landholders Day on the 8 April 2017.

Rockhampton Regional Council’s Planning and Regulatory Committee Chair Councillor Ellen Smith said past events had been very successful with a range of local businesses coming on board.

“Our Pest Management team in conjunction with Capricornia Catchments Inc. and Fitzroy Basin Association will be hosting the Small Landholders Day, which in the past has attracted between 200 to 300 people,” Cr Smith said.

“The event provides practical agricultural industry training sessions and trade displays, and generally targets small landholders, rural residents and commercial businesses in the farming industry.

“We’re really encouraging stall holders to think about how they can contribute either with their products and machinery or by sharing their insights on conservation, small land farming, grazing, pest management, agriculture or animal management.

“It’s been a few years since the last event, so we’re looking forward to bringing it back - it’s a great opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services, and share their knowledge and understanding of the agricultural industry.”
