Children and parents alike are set to be entertained by than larger than life characters as Larrikin Puppets come to the Rockhampton Region.

The shows, which are aimed at children aged under 5, feature songs, stories, and singalongs.

Communities Chair Councillor Rose Swadling said the show had educational benefits too.

“These shows are a fantastic and free way for young families to have fun. If your children are fans of the characters on Sesame Street then they will love this – it is such a lovely way engage with our little folk at their level.

“The shows are not only highly entertaining, full of colour and laughter, but educational as well. They are a great way to develop literacy skills, and I am really pleased that we were able to secure this event for our residents.

“I continue to be impressed at the range of free activities Rockhampton Regional Libraries offers, and am proud that Council funds this valuable community service.”
