Get on down to our beautiful Botanic Gardens on Sunday 1 November for treasure hunts, face painting, mask making…and a cup of tea for the Botanic Gardens Open Day.

Rockhampton Regional Council Parks and Recreation Committee Chair Councillor Cherie Rutherford said there would be a host of fun activities for all the family to enjoy.

“The Botanic Gardens is a wonderful backdrop to host a family fun day and celebrate the great outdoors,” Cr Rutherford said.

“There’ll be all-day activities such as our adventurous treasure hunts with some great prizes up for grabs, fabulous face painting, mask making and cool games for the kids, along with markets stalls, entertainment and Devonshire Tea.

“We’ve invited community groups such as Taichi-Qigong, yoga groups and musicians along as well so they can share their special talents with our whole community – there’ll be something for everyone!

“I’m really encouraging everyone to come along, get involved in the fun activities and enjoy our beautiful gardens - you might even learn something new.”
