Call for local agribusinesses to explore opportunities in Singapore
Published on 04 February 2016
Are you in agribusiness? Do you already export or are you interested in exporting?
Rockhampton Region Council Mayor Margaret Strelow will be hosting morning tea at City Hall on 19th February to allow interested producers or manufacturers to learn about partnership opportunities with Singapore-based companies.
The agribusiness meeting comes after Mayor Strelow’s recent visit to Singapore to push for a stronger economic link between the Rockhampton Region and Singapore.
“We will be joined by a representative from International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, who will be available to answer questions and offer advice,” Mayor Strelow said.
IE Singapore is the government agency driving Singapore’s external economy by spearheading the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies and promoting international trade.
“This is a great opportunity for local industries to leverage off our partnership with Singapore and establish trade relations with Singapore, and through Singapore to other SE Asian nations."
Further site visits with local agribusinesses will take place during the two day visit.
To register your interest for the agribusiness morning tea or to arrange a private meeting with the IE Singapore representative, please email mayor@rrc.qld.gov.au. Places are limited.
