Council’s 2016 Community Conversations BBQ’s kick off

Rockhampton Regional Council will begin its journey around the region as of this week to catch up with rural and urban residents.
The 2016 Community Conversations campaign will begin in rural communities with the first BBQ being held at Wycarbah Hall tonight.
The BBQ’s are a great opportunity for residents and Councillors to catch up face-to-face and to discuss priorities and concerns in their community.
Mayor Strelow and Councillors will host six Community Conversation BBQ’s in rural locations, with one in North and South Rockhampton at the end of May.
Community BBQ's will be held in the following locations (No RSVP necessary)
9 May (6.30pm to 8pm) – Alton Downs. Location: Alton Downs Hall, Corner of Ridgelands & Nicholson Road
11 May (6pm to 8pm) – Gracemere. Location: Gracemere RSL, James Street, Gracemere
17 May (6.30pm to 8pm) – Bajool. Location: Bajool Hall, Corner Hill St & Mills St, Bajool
19 May (6.30pm to 8pm) – Mount Morgan. Location: Mount Morgan School of Arts, 33 Morgan Street, Mount Morgan
24 May (6.30pm to 8pm) – North Rockhampton (Bauhinia House). Location: Bauhinia House (Corner of Berserker Street and High Street)
26 May (6.30pm to 8pm) – South Rockhampton (The Cathedral College). Location: 189 William Street, Rockhampton
31 May (6.30pm to 8pm) – Bouldercombe. Location: Bouldercombe Progress Rec Shed, 52496 Burnett Hwy, Bouldercombe
