Don’t miss out on ChemClear collection

Do you have unwanted agvet chemicals you need to dispose of?
Agsafe’s ChemClear collection is coming up, so make sure you register by 13 June so you don’t miss out.
Waste & Recycling Councillor Shane Latcham said Agsafe provide this service once every two years.
“We have a strong agricultural sector in our region, and our farmers and landholders certainly understand the importance of disposing of chemicals responsibly,” Cr Latcham said.
“If you have chemicals that you don’t have a use for this is a great opportunity to ensure those chemicals are collected and disposed of in a safe and responsible way.
“Once you register you’ll be given a date and told whether to bring your chemicals in to the Gracemere or Bushley Waste Transfer Station
“These waste transfer stations also offer the Agsafe drumMUSTER chemical container recycling program all year round.
“This means that residents are able to drop off eligible empty and cleaned agvet chemical containers for free – just have a chat to our staff on site. The collected containers will then be recycled into useful items such as fence posts, irrigation pipes, and underground cable cover.”
To register to have your unwanted chemicals collected head to the ChemClear website: http://www.chemclear.org.au/
Chemical containers displaying the DrumMuster logo are eligible for free collection. Agvet containers that are unlabeled, missing a logo, expired, mixed or from non-participating manufacturers will incur a fee for disposal. Agsafe will provide a quote before collection.
