Are you busy pruning, potting and preparing for the 2015 Betascapes Spring Garden Spectacular?
Rockhampton Regional Council’s Parks and Recreation Committee Chair Councillor Cherie Rutherford said there was still plenty of time to get nominations in.
“Spring is officially here and there’s still time to enter your garden with nominations closing at the end of September, so don’t miss out,” Cr Rutherford said.
“As any garden guru will tell you, Spring is a fantastic time for showing off our much-loved gardens and this competition will do exactly that.
“We’re really encouraging residents to give it a go as we know there are some amazing gardens out there and we’d love to showcase the hard work and passion that people pour into their patches.”
Entry is open to gardeners from across the Rockhampton Region, including residents located in Glenlee, Glendale, Rockyview and Nerimbera. Entrants can nominate their gardens in ten categories, allowing a wealth of skills and diverse styles to be shown.
With $8000 worth of vouchers and prizes up for grabs this year, the competition is bound to be exciting.
One worthy gardener will take home the $2500 prize voucher from Betascapes and each category winner will receive a $250 gift voucher.
It’s easy to enter! You can enter online or pick up a hard copy entry form from Rockhampton Regional Council Customer Service Centres and Betascapes Landscape Centre.
Judging will take place between Monday 5 October and Wednesday 7 October 2015.
