Free sausage sizzle, face painting, mask making and more!
Published on 16 February 2016
Get on down to our beautiful Botanic Gardens on Saturday 20 February for a free sausage sizzle, face painting, mask making and loads more to commemorate how far we’ve come since Cyclone Marcia.
Rockhampton Regional Council Parks and Recreation Committee Chair Councillor Cherie Rutherford said there were a host of fun activities for all the family to enjoy.
“Our wonderful Botanic Gardens were devastated after the cyclone, but one year on and there’s a world of difference.
“We’d love residents, visitors and families to come along and find out for themselves how the Botanic Gardens have bounced back.
“There’ll be all-day activities such as fabulous face painting, mask making, art in the park, and cool games for the kids, along with market stalls and entertainment.
“We also have a special guest appearance by the stars of Mary Poppins from 11am to 11.45am with some dancing, singing and general fun.
“I’m really encouraging everyone to come along, get involved in the fun activities and enjoy our beautiful gardens.”
