Get involved in the CQ Health Sports and Health Expo!

It’s not long now until Central Queensland’s premier Sports and Health Expo takes over the Showgrounds once again, so don’t miss out on your chance to get involved!

Parks Committee Chair Councillor Rutherford said that opportunities are now open for stallholders and sponsors.

“The CQ Health Sports and Health Expo is always a fantastic event, attracting thousands of people who are looking for ways to boost their fitness and wellbeing,” said Councillor Rutherford.  

“Last year we saw 3,627 people come through the gate to check out the 93 local clubs, health service providers, gyms, and businesses that were showcased.  

“Opportunities are now open for businesses and organisations to come on board as sponsors and help make this year’s expo the best yet.

“Expressions of interest are also currently open for stallholders, who will be able to engage directly with people in our Region looking for information on all aspects of a healthy and active lifestyle. 

“The 2020 CQ Health Sports and Health is set to be a great event for everyone involved.”

CQ Health Chief Executive Steve Williamson said the expo helped get important health messages out to residents.

“It is vital Central Queenslanders take a proactive approach to their health to avoid lifestyle-related chronic illness which is a major problem in our community,” he said.

“We’re proud to support this expo in helping people increase their participation in sport and physical activity. Sport is also a great way to have fun, make new friends and supports good mental well-being.”
