Celebrate Queensland Seniors Month in style at the Pilbeam Theatre’s October Morning Melodies, Livvy & Pete, The Songs of Olivia Newton-John & Peter Allen at the discounted rate of $5 per person thanks to the Mayor’s Treat.

Helpmann award winner Michael Griffiths and acclaimed cabaret darling Amelia Ryan celebrate the songbooks of Aussie icons Olivia Newton-John and Peter Allen in our October Morning Melodies, Livvy & Pete.

From their humble small-town beginnings to world domination in sequins and jumpsuits, revisit all of their sing-along classics from Rio to Tenterfield, all the way to Xanadu and beyond. As camp as maracas and tender as Pete’s gift to Livvy ‘I Honestly Love You’, there promises to be roller-skates, T-Birds, Pink Ladies, 80’s jazzercise and an Oscar winning song to boot!

Livvy & Pete made its debut in 2016 at the Ballarat Cabaret Festival, and Adelaide’s Feast Festival. Since then, it has delighted audiences at The Adelaide Fringe Festival (Garden Of Unearthly Delights), The Hobart Spiegeltent, and the Brisbane Cabaret Festival just to name a few.

Mayor’s Treat is a Seniors Month initiative delivered by Rockhampton Regional Council to recognise and celebrate Seniors Month and the role seniors play in our community.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said the concert was a great way for local seniors to socially connect with others and enjoy a fantastic performance.

“Many people are already aware of the Pilbeam’s long running Morning Melodies concert series, but this provides a great opportunity to recognise our seniors during Seniors Month and acknowledge the important work they do in our community and for their family and friends.

“I am pleased to offer the 2024 Mayor’s Treat Morning Melodies with tickets discounted to just $5 and I urge everyone to come along and enjoy a fantastic show.”

Morning Melodies Livvy & Pete will be performed at the Pilbeam Theatre on Monday 7th of October at 11am. Tickets, at $5 each, are on sale from the Pilbeam Theatre Box Office, phone 4927 4111 or online at www.seeitlive.com.au

Morning Melodies is presented by Rockhampton Regional Council.

A free morning tea will be supplied and is available before the show, from 10am.
