Rockhampton Regional Council’s website has transitioned onto a modern platform that now makes it easier for people to find the information they’re searching for.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said the new website was a significant step forward in improving Council’s online services and communications.

“We wanted to create a site that was compatible across all devices, whether people are using a smart phone, tablet or a computer it is much easier to navigate and more visually appealing,” Mayor Strelow said.

“What we have delivered is a one stop shop where people can easily lodge a request, make enquiries and find what they’re looking for a whole lot faster through a very responsive ‘Search’ function.”

Mayor Strelow said Council will continue to monitor what online services people use most to ensure the website is convenient.

“We have really streamlined the information, so some things have moved around in the process,” she said.

“There’s also some value added areas of the website that are still being constructed, so there’s still a bit of work to do but it’s nearly complete.

“We’re always willing to hear feedback, so if you think there is a service or feature we are not providing or we could improve let us know.”
