Did you know that all cats and dogs from 12 weeks of age are required to be microchipped?

No…then bring your furry friends along to Rockhampton Regional Council’s Pets in the Park event this Sunday 30 October at Cedric Archer Park in Gracemere for $10 microchipping.

It’s a great opportunity for pet owners to save money on something that is compulsory by law. And, don’t forget that a microchip is the best chance your lost pet has at going home as the chip is permanent identification and peace of mind for pet owners.

Cat owners with nervous or anxious animals are also encouraged to come along and purchase a voucher so they can have their pet microchipped at a later date at the vet surgery.

You’ll also be able to pick up some bargains from specialist stall holders including:

  • Qld Staffy and Amstaff Rescue
  • Greyhounds New Beginnings
  • Capricorn Animal Aid
  • RSPCA
  • Capricorn Vet Surgery – Free 5 minute vet checks
  • Pawtraits of Purrfection photo booth
  • Gracemere Junior Rugby League – sausage sizzle fundraiser
  • Council information stalls include Pest Management, Food Safety and Vector Management.

Complete the Microchip Application Form at www.rrc.qld.gov.au and jump the queue. EFTPOS is available for payment at the event.
