Funding available to get creative for Council events!

Local artists can get creative for future community events with the help of a grant from the Rockhampton Regional Arts Development Fund.
Applications are now open, with a total of three grants of $5000 each available.
An initiative of RADF and Rockhampton Regional Council, the grants will help local artists create something special to present at community celebrations, events or festivals.
Rockhampton Regional Council Community Services Portfolio Spokesperson Cr Drew Wickerson encouraged artists to apply.
"The guidelines for this are quite broad. It could be a static artwork, a community project or a performance to occur at an event,” Cr Wickerson said.
“It’s really up to the imagination of the artists as to what form their project will take. We have seen some fabulous arts projects and activities associated with our local events in the past and this is a great opportunity for local artists to apply for some financial assistance to enable their idea to get off the ground,” he said.
The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Rockhampton Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Projects will need to be flexible with timing. As a guide, artists will have from 1 July to 1 November 2020 to create their works.
Applications are now open and will close on Sunday 21 June.
