RRC joins Master Builders to drive industry growth

Rockhampton Regional Council through its economic development arm, Advance Rockhampton, is proud to collaborate with Master Builders Queensland to encourage growth and bolster connections among the local construction industry.
As the peak industry association representing building and construction, Master Builders will deliver an Industry Information Session to be held on the 27 February 2024 and its Roadshow, to be held on 16 May 2024.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams has welcomed the collaboration, with the growing demand for further housing stock and commercial developments.
“According to data from the National Institute of Economic and Industry Research the Rockhampton Region is experiencing strong growth in the building construction sector with the residential and commercial development sector across the broader region growing 30% since the 2019/20 FY (total sales / output).”
“We know just how important our local building and construction businesses are, and we want to do what we can to support them.”
Advance Rockhampton Economic Development Manager, Wade Clark is eagerly anticipating growing these local events through this collaboration.
“These events are aimed at providing the latest industry information, updates on possible changes to the regulatory environment, and updates on employment, wages, health, safety, and the environment.
“These events also provide the opportunity for our local businesses to connect with each other, networking and growing their skills.”
Master Builders Queensland thanked Rockhampton Regional Council for their commitment to the events.
