Radiance returns to Rocky with an all-new adventure - Tickets on sale

Radiance, a festive storytelling and immersive lightshow experience, is back from Friday 29 November to Tuesday 24 December 2024, with an all-new Christmas-themed adventure.

Radiance was a runaway success last year, amassing 50,000 plus attendees via a nighttime exploration of Rockhampton’s beautiful Botanic Gardens. 

Returning to the Botanic Gardens with a redesigned path to journey through, an all-new adventure and additional precinct activations, Radiance promises to be the must-see experience of 2024.

Attendees will follow an immersive path through the Botanic Gardens, where the fun narrative of ‘Dusty the Dingo’ will be brought to life via Laservision’s skilled creative and installation teams.

Laservision CEO Shannon Brooks said it’s exciting to be back in Rocky! The community truly embraced the ‘lost reindeer’ adventure in 2023, so the creative team had their work cut-out to come-up with a fitting protagonist for this year.

“The story of ‘Dusty’ (the dingo) told via holograms, interactive projections, lasers, sound, LEDs and special effects will really capture the imagination,” Mr Brooks said.

“Everyone interacts with the show uniquely and by unveiling different surprises along the journey, the essence of this joyous time of the year shines through.”

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said that Council was excited to see Radiance return to the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens in 2024.

“After such a big success last year, I have no doubt that we will see local residents and families returning to Radiance once again this Christmas,” Mayor Williams said.

“We will also see the Gardens Team Rooms operating with extended hours as well as local food vendors on-site for visitors to make a night of it.

“So whether it’s mum, dad and kids, grandma and grandad or a group of friends or work colleagues – I encourage everyone to get out and experience the latest instalment of the Radiance adventure and enjoy the countdown to Christmas right here in Rockhampton.”

The family-friendly event, running consecutively for 26 nights is a Luna Light Journey produced by Laservision and presented in partnership with Rockhampton Regional Council.

7pm – General sessions every 15 minutes until 10pm
10:45pm – Botanic Gardens close

Sunday to Thursday nights:

7pm – General sessions every 15 minutes until 9pm
9:45pm – Botanic Gardens close

*Entry times are every 15-minutes. Attendees are welcome to explore Radiance at their own pace once they’ve entered.
