Register for free small business workshops to gain big ideas!
Published on 10 May 2019
From tips on increasing your business’ cyber security to becoming export ready and even learning how to tap into major projects like the Shoalwater Bay Military expansion – local small businesses are invited to Advance Rockhampton’s free Small Business workshop, Friday 31 May.
As part of Small Business Week, Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said the Advance Rockhampton team has pulled together a range of topical presentations from industry leaders to suit a range of local operators.
“It is an extremely challenging climate to be a small business operator, which is why our Advance Rockhampton team is committed to supporting our local businesses day in, day out where possible to see them thrive,” Mayor Strelow said.
“These workshops will suit entrepreneurs with an idea right through to longstanding local business operators who have always been a part of our Region’s local economy.”
Some topics will include financial management, cyber security, social media, procurement practices, export readiness and opportunities with Laing O’Rourke.
“We always say it’s important for businesses to have an online presence, but it is equally important to network at events like this, whether you sell uniforms or sell machinery - there is always something to learn or an opportunity to tap into,” Mayor Strelow said.
For a chance to learn new skills and opportunities to enhance your business, register at www.advancerockhampton.com.au.
The workshops will be held at the Fitzroy Room in the Rockhampton Library from 9am to 3pm on Friday, 31 May. It is a free event and you must register to attend.
