85,000 people are expected to walk through the front gates of Beef 2015 and the Rockhampton Region is right there - putting its best foot forward.

Showcasing the new regional brand, a new publication and a new perspective video; the Rockhampton Region is on full display all week at the Sidney Kidman Pavilion.

The Rockhampton Region brand was launched in August 2014, and promotes the Region’s competitive edge through its diverse opportunities.

Mayor of Rockhampton Region, Margaret Strelow said that Beef is an exciting time for the Region and now is our time to shine.

“The Rockhampton Region has a stand at Beef 2015 which is a celebration of all types of local businesses, local talent and local opportunities,” said Mayor Strelow.

“We are launching our new publication ‘My Rockhampton’ which showcases the great and wonderful things to do, see, visit and eat within our Region.”

“We have two new tilt shift videos on display that we hope will change people’s perspective of our Region. It is important for us to showcase local talent with bands Pandamic and La Mont providing the music for these videos.

“As a Region we are moving forward and I invite everyone to come and visit our stand at the Sidney Kidman Pavilion and be a part of this journey.”

Although beef and cattle are the main focus over the next week, Regional Promotions Manager, Sarah Reeves said it was time for everyone to take a step forward and look ‘past the bull’.

“Rockhampton is known for its beef, and this is evident with the amount of support that Beef receives every three years,” said Ms Reeves.

“Beef 2015 is a fantastic event and brings a vast number of visitors to our Region, and we want to utilise this opportunity the best way we can.

“This is our opportunity to showcase that the Region is more than just beef; that it is a place of growth and development with vast opportunities for all sectors.”
