School holiday activities for September and October

Published on 18 September 2015

For a fun-filled school holiday, check out the great range of activities to keep the kids busy from Rockhampton Regional Council.

Council’s Communities Chair Councillor Rose Swadling said there were boundless opportunities indoors and outdoors with an exciting line up of activities.

“We’re really encouraging parents and kids to explore the fantastic range of activities throughout the school holidays, particularly since most of them are free or budget-friendly,” Cr Swadling said.

“Take the kids to the library to make Lego robots, learn some photography skills at the Art Gallery, enjoy activities at the Heritage Village or meet our new chimps, Alon and Leaky at the Rockhampton Zoo – there’s something for everyone these school holidays.”

Kids can also check out Cedric Archer Park’s new playground, take a plunge in our pools or spend hours at the skate parks across the region.
