Rockhampton Airport is looking for 40 volunteers to help simulate a real life emergency situation at the Airport terminal on 18 May 2016.

The purpose of the exercise is to test the effectiveness of the Airport’s Emergency Plan and the response from local emergency services by simulating a possible disaster scenario.

Volunteers will play the role of injured passengers and meet and greeters alongside emergency service crews and Airport Management who will respond to the scenario.

Volunteers will be required to be at the airport by 9.00am to commence preparation for the exercise. A briefing will be given to the volunteers during this time prior to the exercise commencing from 11am – 2pm.

If you are interested in volunteering for the biennial emergency exercise please contact Rockhampton Regional Council on 4932 9000 or via email at enquiries@rrc.qld.gov.au.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Lunch will be provided.
