Get ready to embrace the spirit of Australia Day with a great line up of free events happening across the Rockhampton Region!
Rockhampton Regional Council is once again proud to support local community groups through its Australia Day Community Events Grant, with more than $11,000 donated to local community groups.

Rockhampton:
What’s on: Great Australian Bites and Country on Kershaw 2024
Time: 3:00pm to 9:00pm
Location: Kershaw Gardens (near the Windmill), Moores Creek Road, Park Avenue 4701
Host: Rockhampton Regional Council
- Great Australian Bites is back in 2024 with an absolutely jam-packed stage program, food trucks, markets, amusements and games.
- True-blue Aussie activities to be enjoyed by all!
- Bring your family and friends along to enjoy a game of tug-of-war, inflatable obstacle courses, face painting, toss the thong challenge and a cricket match or two.
- Country on Kershaw will kick off from 3pm and feature a country music line-up from Cassidy Rae, Zac Cross Band, Tony Cook Band, Louise James FX, Kate Mahood and Rachael Dee.
What’s on: Rockhampton Water Ski Club Australia Day Event
Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Rockhampton Water Ski Club, 88 Ski Gardens Road, Alton Downs 4702

- Free water skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, barefooting & tubing
- Club ski boat + other members ski boats provided
