It is with immense sadness we acknowledge the passing of Councillor Neil Fisher on 1 July, 2024.

Cr Fisher dedicated an inspiring 16 years serving as councillor, and as Deputy Mayor for one term.

He held a number of key councillor portfolios throughout his service, including Water, Waste and Airport. He was also actively involved in numerous local government groups.

Lifesaving services flying high thanks to Council donation

Rockhampton Regional Council is continuing its commitment to support two of the Region’s most critical lifesaving services, after announcing it will be reimbursing more than $158,000 in airport landing fees for RACQ CapRescue and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
