CQ Home Assist Secure is an approved aged care provider for the delivery of the following service types:

Maintenance Services

To assist clients to maintain their home in a safe and habitable condition.

Maintenance services provided to clients must focus on improving safety, accessibility and independence.

Maintenance or repairs that are considered to be the responsibility of the landlord under Residential Tenancies legislation, or any other tenancy agreement will not be funded.

Modifications Services

Services that increase or maintain levels of independence, safety, accessibility and wellbeing. 

The intent of the program is to primarily fund simple home modifications for wellness and safety purposes, such as grab rails, handrails and threshold ramps, however, where clinically justified, applications for more complex modifications may be considered.

Requests for assistance are assessed on a case by case basis using CHSP Program Manual for guidance and are subject to availability of funding.

Services that we offer vary, depending on the availability of suitable trades in the coverage area.

Subsidised services may include:

  • Door & lock repairs/replacements
  • Light bulb changes
  • Step tread repairs
  • Minor plumbing and electrical work (note we do not repair dripping taps)
  • Lawn mowing
  • Critical appliance repairs
  • Handheld shower installation
  • Key safe installation
  • Smoke alarm installation
  • Grab rail and handrail installation
  • Small ramps, half steps and chair raisers
  • High cleaning service (fans, windows, kitchen cupboard tops etc)
