Subsidised Assistance

The amount of subsidised assistance may vary and is dependent on individual circumstances, the priority of the service requested, and on the availability of funding at the time of the request.

It is a requirement that clients in receipt of funding make a contribution to all services provided.

CQ Home Assist Secure is able to provide a maximum subsidy per service (excluding lawn mowing and complex modifications) of $200 towards labour costs.  Eligible clients are required to pay the cost of materials, plus any additional labour charges after the $200 subsidy has been allocated.

In instances where there are no materials cost (e.g. high clean service), the client contribution will be negotiated at the time of the service.

Lawn Mowing services may be offered as part of the service delivery in accordance with the following guide:

  • CQ Home Assist Secure may contribute $25 to each lawn mowing service, for a maximum of 12 services per financial year.

Complex modifications may be subsidised using CHSP funding. If eligible, clients may access up to $10,000 to assist with clinically justified complex modification such as the installation of stairlifts, ramps and pathways.
