Services

Requests for assistance are assessed on a case by case basis, subject to availability of funding and are only provided to safeguard health, safety and security outcomes for the occupant of the home.

Maintenance or repairs that are considered to be the responsibility of the landlord under Residential Tenancies legislation, or any other tenancy agreement will not be funded.

Modifications services, such as installation of grab rails, must be carried out in accordance with specifications recommended by a qualified Occupational Therapist.

Services that we offer vary, depending on the availability of suitable trades in the coverage area.

Subsidised services may include:

  • Door & lock repairs/replacements
  • Light bulb changes
  • Step tread repairs
  • Minor plumbing and electrical work (note: we do not repair dripping taps)
  • Lawn mowing
  • Critical appliance repairs
  • Handheld shower installation
  • Key safe installation
  • Smoke alarm installation
  • Grab rail and handrail installation
  • Small ramps, half steps & chair raisers
  • High cleaning service (fans, windows, kitchen cupboard tops etc)
