Subsidised Assistance

The total maximum allowable funding per household is $550 each financial year.

Labour subsidies per allowable service (excluding lawn mowing) may be provided using the following guide:

  • Where labour costs are $200 or less, CQ Home Assist Secure will fund this in full. Eligible clients are only required to pay the cost of materials.
  • Where labour costs are greater than $200, CQ Home Assist Secure will pay $200, and the eligible client must pay the outstanding amount i.e. the remaining labour charges after the $200 subsidy has been allocated, plus all materials costs.

Lawn Mowing services may be offered as part of the service delivery in accordance with the following guide:

  • CQ Home Assist Secure may contribute $25 to each lawn mowing service, for a maximum of 11 services per financial year.
  • This service is not in addition to other services. Each subsidy will be deducted from the eligible client’s annual subsidy limit.
