Guided Tram Tour of The Rockhampton Heritage Village
You know the Rockhampton Heritage Village but how well do you really know it? Join us on a special guided tour for some fascinating insights into the village itself, and life in the 1850s-1950s.
In this tour you’ll hear stories not only about the rich colourful history of early European settlement in the region, but also the background behind the various exhibits and how they came to be at the Heritage Village.
Tour highlights:
# Explore the Blacksmith shop hear all about a vanishing trade;
# See the Charles Street Fire Station, a replica of the first fire station in North Rockhampton;
# Marvel at the hardiness of our pioneers as you return to the world without electricity, gas or sewage at Wood’s & Rackemann’s Cottages;
# Enthuse over the vintage cars, tractors, horse drawn vehicles and stationary engines on display throughout the Village;
and much more.
Duration approx 2 hours.
