Water Polo QLD Country Championships

Water Polo Queenland (WPQ) is excited to annouce that the 2023 Queensland Country Championships will be hosted by Rockhampton Regional Council and Rockhampton Water Polo Association thanks to an event partnership through the Rockhampton Regional Council.

 This three day event will take place from 17 – 19 February, 2023 and will be run at the 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre. The event has attracted teams and participants from throughout regional Queensland from as far south as the Gold Coast and Far Northern NSW, to Cairns, Townsville and Mackay in the north and all areas in between, with home -town heroes Rockhampton entering both a women’s and men’s side in the championships.

 The event will attract over 150 participants including players, coaches, managers, referees and officials as well as numerous supporters and family members.

 This event is sure to be a high-class showing of water polo from our regional QLD associations, all in the ultimate pursuit of being crowned champions!
