Women's Health, Information and Referral Service Inc CQ

Women's Health, Information and Referral Service Inc CQ (WHIRS CQ) provides free and confidential counselling across two programs.

The National Women’s Health Program provides therapeutic counselling to all women over the age of 14 years, covering all aspects across the lifespan with outreach services provided to Mount Morgan and Yeppoon.

The Sexual Assault Support Service offers therapeutic counselling to survivors of recent and historical sexual assault to men, women and youths 12 years and older. Outreach services are provided to Mount Morgan, Yeppoon, Capricorn Coast, Emerald and the Central Highlands.

Women's Health Information & Referral Service CQ Inc. offers a resource centre as well as information and referral pathways. Workshops, community events and community education events are held both in the centre and in the wider community.

A dignity hub is accessible to women experiencing or at risk of homelessness with hygiene products, clothing and basic meals provided. Shower and laundry facilities are available onsite.
