Green Waste and Mulch

Green waste charges commenced 2 August 2021. Refer to the Waste Facilities General info and Fees & Charges Fact sheet for more information about green waste charges. 

Both Domestic and Commercial Green Waste Customers are accepted at the Lakes Creek Road Waste Facility.

The Regional Waste Facilities (Gracemere, Bajool, Bouldercombe, Mount Morgan, Bushley, and Alton Downs) only accept green waste disposals by Domestic Customers and do not accept any quantity of green waste by Commercial Customers.

A Commercial Green Waste Customer is determined as any customer that arrives at a Waste Facility in a vehicle displaying a green waste service.

Mulched green waste is available free of charge to residents (when available), for domestic use, to improve soil health and water retention of their gardens. Mulch must be self-loaded with no machinery or mechanical equipment. Mulch availability is subject to stock levels at Lakes Creek Road, Gracemere, and Mount Morgan Waste Management Facilities.
