Frenchville Road - Natural Resource Management

On-ground works are being carried out at nominated sites along Frenchville Road as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.

Schedule: Intermittent works (commenced in 2021) 

Status: Active 

Delivery partner: CQUniversity (TAFE students), with support from Native Plants Capricornia

Site objectives:

• Enhance biodiversity and site resilience by increasing he riparian buffer zone (vegetation located along the edge of the waterway within the Frenchmans Creek corridor)
• Encourage nature-based training and education opportunities

Work activities:

• Restoration works (weed control, mulching and planting of native species)
• Routine maintenance (watering, weeding and litter control)
