Yeppen Lagoon - Natural Resource Management
On-ground works are being carried out at Yeppen Lagoon as part of Council's Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.
Schedule: Intermittent works scheduled from March 2023 to March 2024

Delivery partner: Capricornia Catchments and Multicultural Australia
Site objectives:
- Enhance biodiversity and site resilience by increasing the riparian buffer (vegetation located along the edge of the waterway)
- Support a positive visitor experience by improving environmental amenity and shade, particularly along the walking track
- Encourage nature-based recreation, tourism and educational opportunities
Work activities:
- Restoration works (week control, mulching and planting of native species)
- Routine maintenance (watering, weeding and litter control)
