ANZAC Park (Mount Morgan)
ANZAC Park in Mount Morgan is a site of historical significance and natural beauty. It is an ideal place for family picnics or a leisurely lunch at the picnic tables. The park houses monuments that commemorate the military history of the region, including an ANZAC monument. It also features a Coronation Light erected in 1902 to mark the coronation of King Edward VII and later moved to the park in 1947. The mine plaque outlines the contour of the original Ironstone Mountain and the years of mining operation from 1882 to 1990. The park is used for ANZAC and Remembrance Day services, honoring the military history and contributions of service members.
Accessible at any time, providing a quiet place to enjoy the surrounds and offers visitors a glimpse into the area's past while providing amenities for enjoyment in the present. Parking is available at the park.
