IACQ was formed in 1997. As of today, there are more than 600 people of Indian origin residing in Central Queensland (CQ). IACQ endeavours to connect people living in Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gracemere, Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald and Mackay areas of CQ. IACQ represents and enriches Indian culture in CQ’s communities by celebrating different regional festivals, sports activities and various get together. IACQ also engages in a variety of programs to promote cultural diversity with other Multicultural Organisations.
