Play Assist Rockhampton offers Play Therapy, Parenting Programs and Early Childhood supports to children and families looking for help with family functioning.

Dembra is a qualified and experienced teacher, trainer and consultant having worked with children with a diagnosis, anxiety, trauma and social and emotional regulation difficulties. Also trained in Triple P, Circle of Security, Hanen ‘Learning Language and loving It’ Dembra can also design a program to meet your needs.

Child Centred Play Therapy is child counselling where children can play what they struggle to say, to explain their way to make sense of their world. Play Therapy helps children work through big emotions to learn to cope with difficult feelings, leading to a healthier and happier way of being.

Play Assist Rockhampton has a play space at 1/155 Alma Street and can come to you or your child’s ECE service to work on identified areas of need. Being a qualified trainer, Dembra can mentor ECE staff to better assist your child.

Dembra specialises in children 0-7 years of age but can work with older siblings especially to support healthy family functioning. NDIS funding can be used in association with children 0-7 years – plan and self-managed and older children by other funding.
