Wild Mount Morgan Clay

Historic Gold Mining town Mount Morgan is the setting of Wild Mount Morgan Clay, a sustainable pottery studio which produces beautiful unique pieces with locally sourced wild clay fired in a wood fired kiln. Clay pits and caverns feature in the history of the mine; brickworks fired local fireclay to build both town and mine buildings in the ubiquitous red bricks.

Today a variety of local colour and texture clays are used in the creation of rustic bisque fired pottery. The studio is available for by request workshops and open for demonstration and meet the artist . Set in the hills of Mount Morgan the studio boasts stunning views and a humble café style welcome with homemade fare.
